At Junk Art Creations I specialise in providing workshops to schools, community groups and special needs organisations, where I encourage you to look at everyday items, especially those destined for the scrap heap, completely differently and then show you how to turn them into something that is fun, functional or fantastic.
Projects can be linked to the curriculum or whole school themes and can be based indoors or outdoors. Every project is so different - whether giant sweets made from salt dough, tribal masks incorporating paper mache clay, a community junk train, a WW1 trench and even a 'Ground Force' style make over!
Each workshop is unique and participants get the opportunity to think creatively, learn new skills, experience new equipment, share their discoveries, work as a team and, hopefully, view their environment just a little bit more imaginatively.
At Junk Art Creations children are encouraged to have a go at things they've never done before, use equipment they've never used before and to take risks in a safe environment.

Take a look at these pictures to see some great memories from my first major outdoor project. The children and parents worked hard to transform the front of the school - digging up turf and laying tonnes of gravel; making tyre and scaffolding benches; building birdboxes; creating concrete mushrooms; building a bug hotel, painting a shelter and making lots of fabulous art.
